15 February 2012 - Quiet day at Kilarney Beach

We decided to stay an extra day at Kilarney Beach as it is quite a relaxing place and we are in no rush to move on. In the morning we headed to a small beach called 'The Basin' where I threw a line in while Clare and the kids found crabs and worms under the rocks.

A few bites but no fish and despite our layers of sun screen, the sun was pretty fierce so we headed back to camp for lunch.

Clare went out for another bike ride while Lachie slept and Emily chilled out watching 'Happy Feet'. Once Lachie awoke it was time for balance bikes, feeding the chooks at the caravan a couple of doors down and visiting the park. This campsite has been great for the kids as it has a small playground in viewing distance from the tent so they have been quite independent.

Packing up again tomorrow and off to Port Campbell where we will stay for a few days and see the 'Twelve Apostles'.
