12 January 2012 - RFD and around Broken Hill

Not much planned today. A visit out to the Royal Flying Doctors HQ was the highlight, for the parents. This was followed by a trip to the local park which was well set up with plenty of trees and shade cloth. Emily got about 20 shots on the flying fox as there were not too many other kiddies around to compete with, a stark contrast to Blaxland Park in Homebush. Em and Lachie slept well in the afternoon and we headed up for a swim at the caravan park pool once they got up. Our stay in Broken Hill has been fantastic, mainly due to some unexpectedly mild temperatures. It has not gotten above 25 during our stay, thanks to a cool breeze that has been blowing since we arrived. Unfortunately this did cut short our trip to the pool as it was too cold for Em and Lachie to be getting in and out of the water as they tend to do. I certainly did not think that we would be forced out of a swimming pool in Broken Hill during January due to it being too cold.
